Snow Dreams Papers & Sheer Ribbon Tutorial.

I needed some pastel snowflake papers for some boxes and bags I am working on and came up with these. I thought I would share them with you.

I recieved an email asking how I made the sheer ribbons that I put on my previews. I am not good at making tutorials, but I thought I would give it a shot and share my secret with you.

I almost always do my designing in Photoshop 7.0 so that is what I'm using for the tutorial. I'm sure that you can apply the steps to other programs.

I hope that the tutorial was easy to understand and helpful.

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

  1. Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in CBH Digital Scrapbooking Freebies, under the Page 6 post on Nov. 22, 2010. Thanks again.

  2. Brenda, I hope this day finds you well.
A bit of sad news...I will not be downloading your samples anymore. You use 4 shared and I am boycotting them due to the exuberant time one has to wait for a download. Example, I downloaded the above, thank you for that by the way, and I had to wait 360 seconds to get it. I can only suggest if you want to make any business you move your samples to another file sharing host or you will lose business.
    Have a fantastic day.

  3. I had to laugh at the previous comment, I don't mind the wait as you are offering something nice and which took time for FREE! Besides she could have opened the download in a new window and read your tutorial, which I did. Gotta love some people they are way too funny!!!! LOL Thank-YOU for the freebie!!!!

  4. By the way, it took 80 seconds for me! I am still laughing. You have a nice one, hon!!!

  5. Personally, I would wait longer than 360 seconds to download all of your awesome goodies! :-) Thanks so much for sharing all your wonderful work so generously!

  6. Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave in the DigiFree category today [23 Nov 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria

  7. Brenda,You need to shrug it off your shoulder! Because I would wait longer too! You have beautiful samples, just keep'em coming Hun!She could pay for her downloading at 4share and she would get it quicker! and lots of other sites use 4share too! P.S. I don't have a blog so I'm signing this as Lilcajunett

I also wanted to thank you for this wonderful tutorial. You did a great job of explaining and it helped me as I'm just getting started in scrapbooking

  9. Thanks for all you do - love your stuff. And as far as waiting, I just open another window and do something else - check email, weather, etc. Grateful hearts make grateful attitudes, IMHO.

  10. Wow, fantastic papers!! Thank you so much! Great tutorial .. I had no idea it was that involved .. OMG you have a lot of patience!! lol
It makes me appreciate your freebies even more!
As for 4shared, some I have had to wait over 1100 (yes, eleven hundred!!) seconds .. btmo-pat would have had a conniption!! he he he. I just minimize the download and carry on .. sometimes I have six or seven sitting down on the task bar!! For every problem there is a solution. lol. Thanks again!
