I don't know how much I will be around Christmas Eve and I really wanted to give you all something little but cute for Christmas. I really hope you all like these. For me, I will be busy baking cookies, cakes and pies today and getting things ready for Christmas Dinner.

I would really like to acknowledge Trina Clark of digiscrapkits.com for her wonderful graphics that have helped me in creating alot of my kits. Her characters are so awesome, and I just can't help myself. I absolutely love them!

To start, here is a little frame that I thought alot of you could use. There have been quite a few record snowstorms happening everywhere. So what can you do but, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Things always seem to get busiest around the holidays.

Last week we went to cut down our Christmas Tree. It was a very fun time. Me, my husband, our daughter Allison, and son Ricky went to my hometown and cut down a tree. We always get a Blue Spruce that is big around and very full. This year I tried explaining that I wanted a skinnier tree than usual so I wouldn't have to rearrange the house for the holidays. We chose a tree, cut it down, and brought it home. This was on Saturday. Sunday, after church, I spent several hours rearranging furniture before we finally brought the tree in the house and set it up. 1400 lights, over 120 yards of garland, and more than 250 balls later, we have a beautiful large tree in our front room. (Pictures below)

Tonight is the beginning of our shopping. For some unknown reason, we usually put off shopping until about one week before Christmas. Maybe it's because when we got together over 12 years ago, we had seven very nosy children and it was the only way to hide what they we getting. Or maybe it's because when we decided that we were going to become a family, we found a large house to rent and all moved in together right before Christmas. I can remember me and Jude (my husband) asking his parents to babysit for us the morning and early afternoon on Christmas Eve. We went out shopping and bought way too many gifts for all seven kids in one day. We spent the entire night wrapping gifts.

Snow Dreams Papers & Sheer Ribbon Tutorial.

I needed some pastel snowflake papers for some boxes and bags I am working on and came up with these. I thought I would share them with you.

I recieved an email asking how I made the sheer ribbons that I put on my previews. I am not good at making tutorials, but I thought I would give it a shot and share my secret with you.

I almost always do my designing in Photoshop 7.0 so that is what I'm using for the tutorial. I'm sure that you can apply the steps to other programs.

Here is a little something for you. There are 4 papers with two matching bows. This complete set comes with 12 papers, 6 matching bows, and 4 border papers. Today I have a recipe kit for you. It comes with a blank cover card, or one that says 'My Favorite Holiday Recipes.' There is a recipe picture card which you can put a picture of your recipe, and a card to print your recipe on, a blank gift tag, and a printed gift tag that says, 'From Our Kitchen to Yours. Happy Holidays.' You will also get one patterned paper, and a frame as a bonus.

I have four of these kits ready to upload and will post them periodically. They will each include a bonus paper and element.

Here are some previews of what it looks like printed out. I also have a picture of what it looks like with the picture and recipe, and a picture of the paper and frame printed.

Here are a few pictures of our Christmas decorations so far for this year. I usually do a little bit at a time so that the house is decorated before Thanksgiving. The only two things that are usually put up after Thanksgiving are our big Christmas Tree that we put our gifts under, and the Nativity Scene.

I love seeing what types of decorations people use for the holidays. My husband and I shop for new things to add to our collection all the time. We favor snowmen, but love Santa and Reindeer. We also started collecting Nutcrackers 2 years ago. As I started decorating for Christmas a couple of days ago, I took a few pictures. If you don't mind, I thought I would share some of the pictures with you over the next few weeks in some layouts that I have done using some of the Christmas kits I got this year.

The kit I used for this layout is Christmas Cheer by Mitsybelle Designs. You can get it at Stone Accents Studio. The wordart is from Word Art World by Jennifer.

Today's freebie is called Very Merry. If the colors look familiar, they are from the same color palette that I used for the kit Holiday Greetings. Now you can mix a match them. Very Merry has 6 papers and 18 elements. There are three downloads each under 23 MB. I don't know if it's my computer, 4shared or just that time of the year, but it has been taking me forever to download files and I have cable internet. So I am going to try to keep all of my files under 25 MB for all of my Christmas stuff.

Welcome to

A CuddleBeez Christmas

I wasn't sure how to go about doing this, and I put alot of thought and consideration into making a blog just for my Christmas items. I love decorating my house for Christmas. Usually it is all decorated for Christmas by Thanksgiving day. When I first began making plans for blogging this Christmas I was just going to put a new holiday background on CuddleBeez Scraps. But then I thought about how neat it would be to have a complete Christmas theme, so this is what I did. I will still be posting new stuff at CuddleBeez scraps, including an occasional freebie.

My household is changing and it has been taking away from my designing time. Our daughter, Amanda, is moving into her own apartment today. We are very happy for her, but we are sad to see her go. Shannon, our oldest daughter will be moving into a new home in the next two weeks with her sons. They have been staying with us for almost two months now. Now, our son Jacob has come to live with us. So we are losing some, gaining another. I think that is the one thing I love so much about having a big family, things are always changing.

For those of you who like blog trains, I have joined one so far. The Christmas Convoy will be departing on December 13th. Hopefully I find a couple of others to participate in as well.
